StrixScreener $1.49 / résumé Pricing Send us a job

Every résumé reads well now. That's the problem.

Polish used to carry information. A candidate who wrote tightly had probably thought carefully. That signal is gone. A language model now rewrites the bullets, mirrors your job description back at you, and hands three hundred applicants the same competent voice.

StrixScreener reads for what is underneath the writing — what someone built, changed, fixed, or measured — ranks your stack against the job description, and shows you the line it ranked on.

Sample output · nine applicants, one req

Nine résumés arrived for this role. Six of them are shown below as plain grey placeholder bars, because on the page they are indistinguishable from one another, which is the point. Three are shown resolved, with the rank StrixScreener assigned, the candidate's name, and the sentence from that candidate's own résumé that decided the ranking.

  • 01
    Priya Raghunathanapplied 6th of 9
“Rewrote the billing reconciler that three people were running by hand each Monday. Duplicate-charge disputes dropped 41% over two quarters and the Monday job went away.”
  • 02
    Tomás Ferreiraapplied 2nd of 9
“We were paging on about 300 alerts a week. I spent a month deleting the ones nobody had ever acted on and got it to 22, then wrote the rule that kept it there.”
  • 03
    Jenna Kowalczykapplied 9th of 9
“Took over warehouse returns after the vendor dropped us mid-quarter. I wrote the intake form myself and moved the backlog from six weeks to four days without adding headcount.”

The grey rows are the other six. They are still on your list, ranked lower, with their own reasoning attached. Nothing is removed and nothing is hidden from you. The order candidates applied in is not the order they should be read in.

Sample data · illustrative output — these candidates and the lines quoted from them are invented to show the format. No real applicant appears on this page.

What comes back

Three things, and you can check all of them.

  • A ranked list

Every résumé you sent, in priority order. Nothing is filtered out before it reaches you, and no candidate is dropped from the list.

  • The line that made the case

For each candidate, the specific claim from their own résumé that moved them up or down. You can open the document and check it against the page.

  • A CSV you can work from

Export the ranking with the reasoning attached and take it into your ATS, your spreadsheet, or a call list.

Trust and data

The tool ranks. You decide.

$1.49 per résumé. A human makes every decision. StrixScreener ranks candidates and explains its reasoning. It never removes anyone from consideration, and it evaluates the substance of the experience described, independent of writing style.

Does it reject candidates automatically?

No. StrixScreener ranks candidates and explains its reasoning. It never removes anyone from consideration, it does not filter anyone out before you see them, and it does not act on its own output. A human makes every decision.

How does it handle AI-written résumés?

It evaluates the substance of the experience described, independent of writing style, and it shows you the specific line it ranked on so you can check that line against the document. A well-written résumé with nothing underneath it does not rank on the writing.

What happens to the résumés I upload?

We keep nothing. Screening runs through OpenAI's API, governed by OpenAI's terms. Nothing a candidate wrote is written to our disks: the only record we hold is a receipt — a session id, a count, an amount and a timestamp. No résumé text, no candidate names, no scores. Warning logs record a file's name and how many characters were extracted from it, never its contents.

Do the résumés leave your servers?

Yes. Résumé text is transmitted to OpenAI for scoring. What OpenAI does with API content is governed by OpenAI's terms, not by ours, and we do not speak for them. If that matters to your clients, read their terms before you send us a stack.

How does this line up with hiring rules?

Automated employment decision tools are regulated, and the rules are still moving. New York City's Local Law 144 covers automated employment decision tools used in hiring for roles in the city. The EU AI Act treats employment and recruitment as a high-risk category under Annex III. Dates and details have already shifted once and will again, so this page does not run a countdown at you.

StrixScreener is designed to sit on the human side of that line: it produces a ranking and its reasoning, it does not reject anyone, and it does not act on its own output. That describes how this product behaves. It is not legal advice, it is not a claim of certification or compliance, and it does not tell you what your own obligations are. Ask your counsel about those.

Pricing

What does it cost?

$1.49 per résumé · no subscription

$1.49 per résumé. There is no subscription, no seat licence and no minimum. You pay for the stack you screen and nothing in the months you are not hiring.

  • Price$1.49 / résumé
  • Commitmentnone
  • Résumés per batchup to 50
  • Time to screen~30–60 sec / résumé
  • Accepted filesPDF · DOCX · TXT
  • Outputranked list + CSV

Is there a subscription or a contract?

No. Screening is charged per résumé at the time you run it. There is nothing to cancel and nothing renews. A four-person agency should not pay for eleven quiet months to cover one loud one.

Do I have to move off my ATS?

No. There is no integration to install and no migration. You upload the résumé files and the job description, and you get back a ranked list and a CSV that you can take into whatever system you already use.

How many résumés can I screen at once, and how long does it take?

Up to 50 résumés in a single batch, at roughly 30 to 60 seconds each. This is not a real-time tool and does not pretend to be. You start a batch and walk away. A stack that would cost you an evening of reading costs you one unattended run, because the machine's hour is cheap and yours is not.

A posting with 300 applicants goes through as a handful of batches.

What file types can I upload?

PDF, DOCX and TXT, for both the résumés and the job description.

TODO(brent): confirm — the brief asked for a "screen your first 10 free" secondary offer. There is no free tier, trial or credit anywhere in api/ or app/; every run goes through Stripe checkout. Either build it or cut it. This page does not claim it.

The offer

Send us one real job and its résumé stack.

Can I try it on a real role before paying?

Yes. Send one job description and up to 20 résumés from a role you are actually hiring for. We return the scored shortlist with the reasoning attached, free, with no account and no card. Nothing to install, and no follow-up sequence.

Twenty is enough to tell you whether the ranking is any good, which is the only thing this is for. If the ranking is wrong, tell us where. That is the useful outcome either way.

One caution, since we would rather say it than not: these are real people's résumés and we have not published a privacy policy yet. If you would rather redact names and contact details before you send them, do that. The ranking works the same way.

TODO(brent): confirm — the alias screen@strixscreener.com must actually exist and be monitored. The domain has live ImprovMX MX records, so routing works, but the alias itself is unverified. This is the primary CTA of the page: test it end to end by sending yourself a real stack before this goes public.
